||Tamworth barn, beside Route 16, overlooking Chocorua Lake and Mountain, 2004. The barn's sills were replaced and in 2003 it was moved back from the highway. The barn and 70 local homes plus the lake and surrounding woodlands became part of the Chocorua Lake Basin National Historic District in June 2005. With 6,135 acres, the historic district is the largest in New England. © Peter Randall
